The Purpose
The
idea here is to gather as many used/unwanted/broken bicycles as
possible, using the parts from each to make a maximum number of working
bicycles.
The resulting complete bicycles will be donated
back to the community through existing charity organizations at
Christmas for children of all ages to enjoy.
How to Donate
Call Ben Rehberg at 229.507.2431 to arrange pickup of your unwanted bicycle or to find out where to drop off the goods.

Spread the Word
We
need everyone to help spread the word about this project. The more help
we get, the more bikes we can give away! Tell your Facebook friends
about it, print it in the paper, and tell your coworkers.
Welcome to the Project.
I'm
Ben Rehberg, and I own and operate Rehberg Technology, Inc. in Adel,
Georgia. I like to tinker and I like this little community we have
here. So in putting those two together, along with an idea that the
economy is in poor shape, pollution is at an all-time high, and
Americans need more exercise, I have come up with a plan to help all of
that in a single community project.
I intend to collect
broken and otherwise unwanted bicycles from anywhere I can. I will use
the parts to make complete and working bicycles to be given to
organizations that will, at Christmas time, find people who need such
equipment.
This involves many things I personally support:
- Community involvement
- Cycling and fitness
- Recycling and environmental awareness
- Free bikes to kids!
- My incessant love of tinkering and making things
- Alternative forms of travel
Right
now I'm concentrating on bikes for Adel and Cook County, but if things
go well it could easily expand to South Georgia and the entire state. I
would, of course, need a lot of help from people like you.
